Inspired by the work of Ukranian-French artist Sonia Delaunay. The illustrator, paintor, stylist and set designer was a lover of geometric shapes and bold colors. She co-founded the Orphism art movement and was the first living female artist to have a retrospective exhibition at the Louvre.
With that in mind, Debora Leal, Manolita's creative director set out to build a collection around the design principles so consistently present in Dalaunay's work. A mix of references that explore geometries, color theory and even some direct representations of the artist's work; present in the hand painted soles of the shoes.
Our creative gift to you is this unique shoe, a work of art in its own right filled with love and respect for the female artists that came before us.
