Inspired by the tropics and traditional Brazilian furniture, the braided upper of our signature handmade basket weave is combined with city practicality on a base that prioritizes comfort. Its rounded lines and deep-set construction are made for lazy summer days. The straw is set at a slight angle and finished in leather for a look that is elevated yet unpretentious.
This shoe runs true to size, we suggest half sizes go up. Because of the nature of the material, the shoe runs a tad wide so it’s best for normal and/or wide feet.
We recommend cleaning the leather portion of this shoe with a soft cloth and a using a leather conditioner every 6 months. As for the caning on this shoes’ upper, because it is a natural and delicate material it should be kept away from moisture/water and spot cleaned with a soft, dry cloth as needed.
Please note that the leather used for these shoes has been worked by a craftsman and created fully by hand. This is the result of a careful selection, therefor some defects, for instance veins, shading and color irregularities should be considered natural finishes of the leather.
We recommend cleaning your leather shoes with a soft cloth a blotting away water or moisture as soon as possible. If your shoes become wet, let them dry naturally and away from artificial heat. To keep leather supple, a specialized leather conditioner every 6 months is ideal.
